Following person can enter and borrow books by issuing a library access card:
– a family member of a university member
– an employee of a POSCO affiliated organization (POSCO Holdings, POSCO, RIST, POSE)
– an alumnus (graduate of this university)
– or someone approved by the Vice President of Academic Information Affairs.

- Staff service hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00 (excluding lunch time 12:00-13:00)
- 1st floor entrance door locked: The 1st floor entrance door is locked at 22:00, so please use the 5th floor entrance afterwards.
- Holiday closing information: During the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, the library will be closed for 3 days, from 00:00 on the first day to 08:00 on the day after the third day.
- Closure in emergencies: In case of emergency such as power outage, the library may be closed if library services (entrance, loan, return) are not available.

Issuance of access card
- How to apply: Sign up at POSTECH ID card system > 로그인(외부이용자) > 도서관증 관리 > 도서관증 신청 (select status and upload photo in member classification)
- Pick-up: Please collect in person at the 2nd-floor Library Service Desk (08:00 – 21:00) after receiving the issuance text message.
- Cost: Free, a fee (5,000 KRW) is required for reissuance.
- Precautions
- Applications are not possible within POSCO due to network security, and applicants from POSCO affiliated organizations are required to enter their company email address.
- The library access card cannot be lent (transferred) to others.
- If you are holding University APT (Faculty/Graduate/Posvill) or Gymnasium access card, please contact library for library access
- ID of a family member need to be registered.
- Faculty APT access card issued before July 2024 is available, please apply for a new library access card otherwise.
